This is the video clip for the latest releases Digital Dreamland from the new Hype collection Surreal. I originally wrote and recorded Photoscan in 1981. I noticed the first PHOTOSCAN camera in the early 70s which I think was in the original Dymocks bookstore in Sydney city. More info in the YouTube description.

I noticed the first PHOTOSCAN camera in the early 70s which I think was in the original Dymocks bookstore in Sydney city. Half the world's CCTV cameras are in China - around 800 million - and 85 million in the US. The chanting of “the whole world is watching” at the end was made famous during the Vietnam war riots in 1968. The chanting was part of my original vision for the song that is finally coming to light now - 45 years later. Making the clip was as much fun as creating the new song version and it's so satisfying to see it all come together and tell the story just like I'd always imagined it all those decades ago. This is the video clip for the latest release Moonbase-One from the new Hype collection Surreal. Back in 1981 I wrote and recorded this Moonbase-One song and I recently used the original demo as the audio reference for this new upgraded production. I grew up with Bobby Limb as a neighbour and I knew about The Bobby Limb Show early on - his big band on TV with Bobby playing sax. Originally this song was really written 45 years ago with Bobby in mind. I always wanted him to play this solo part - but it turned out wonderfully anyhow. The song is quite old-school so the clip was created in the style of ‘Atompunk’ with retro-futurism. These are exciting dreams we had back then that still seem to haunt us today driving the Artemis program - even though the likelihood is slim - even if civilisation survives the next decade. But it's fun to imagine! More on YouTube .
This is the video clip for the latest release Atmosphere from the new EP collection Surreal The Atmosphere song was originally written in 1987 during the Cold War but the song became obsolete in 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell. After 40 years it has found a new context with the current Polycrisis that we all face with wars, pollution, resources, nationalism, refugees, pandemics, technology, financial and climate collapse. The challenge is upon us and all we can do is practice Deep Adaptation.

These songs were the basis of the Hype album collection processed through Suno with my sophisticated prompting assisted by Gemini AI - finally given the attention they deserved. It was a huge amount of work at the end of 2025 to process them all but loads of fun and very satisfying.
Previously unrecorded tracks.

This is circa 1984-85. It shows some great stuff... like... as Edith walks down the hallway at the start you can see the padded door to her left made from a mattress Dyna-bolted to the outside of door. And in the control room you get close-up working shots of the two mixers and the deck. I vowed when I started out pursuing a professional pop career that I would never ever lip sync for a clip... and there I am... first TV performance... lip syncing for TV! Notice the beautiful old Sennheiser 421 microphone, my lovely DMX drum machine, the SH-101 and the Buddha from the garden.
